Farragut / Concord

Farragut/Concord Homes Aerial ViewThe town of Farragut in far west Knox County incorporated itself in 1980. Concord abuts the east side of Farragut and runs down to the river. The original town of Concord is on the National Register of Historic Places and is located along the river. Farragut is known for its strict zoning regulations, ban on tacky signs, and a per capita income that is triple that of Knoxville. Turkey Creek is Knoxville’s premier shopping area; churches of every denomination and private schools abound; there are two golf courses, a country club, a library, a beautiful YMCA and a very active citizenry. Farragut schools are part of the Knox County school system and are among Knox County’s finest. There are older, very traditional neighborhoods and newer, more contemporary homes in both Farragut and Concord, many with sidewalks and neighborhood pools. The Cove on Ft. Loudon Lake and Concord Park are two of Knox County’s most visited parks.
